How to Create and Track Vendors
Vendors are created and/or tracked whenever you add products in your Shopify back office. We offer two ways to do this, Vendor Name Tracking and Product Tag Tracking.
1. Vendor Name Tracking
When adding your products in Shopify, simply enter your vendor's name in the vendor name field. This will tell the app who this product belongs too and who to award commission too when the product is sold. If the vendor does not exist in your account yet, the app will automatically create this vendor for you.
2. Product Tag Tracking
With product tag tracking you will set a product tag based off of your chosen prefix (vendor_ by default). For example, if your vendor name is John Doe then the tag should be "vendor_John Doe" Doing this will automatically connect that product to your vendor within our app. Be advised that product tags are case sensitive. If the vendor does not exist in your account yet, the app will automatically create this vendor for you.
3. Verify Vendors
You should now see the vendor in your vendor list. If not please reach out to us to help diagnose the issue.
If you need custom tracking in a different way, please reach out and we will help get that set up.
